HEMS is a small and thriving community based in Hatch End. Still in its infancy, the community is continuing to grow and work towards our current goals of permanent premises and one day a Rabbi to lead our community.  The uniqueness of our Kehila is that we provide friendly regular religious services where individuals and families feel relaxed and are encouraged to participate; that there is an ethos of collective care and support for other members and people in need.

The HEMS community is extremely close and active in terms of its religious, social, youth and community activities. We hold regular social functions, adult learning evenings, cheder and Bar Mitzvah classes, fundraising events and on the youth side, we have been delighted to work alongside NOAM to run a weekly youth club that has been in existence for over a year and is giving our youth members another great reason to stay involved in the Masorti community.

Noam runs a Shabbat club once a month for schools years 4,5 & 6, starting around two and a half hours before the end of shabbat. We also run a Sunday club every two weeks for school years 7,8 & 9.
